This program has been developed with science, frequency, mindfulness techniques for kids of all ages to engage in. And is a beautiful and enjoyable way to introduce them to meditation and mindfulness.
It will be a 45 minute sound therapy session, where they lay with their parent and enjoy the many frequencies of healing sound throughout the class. They will hear sounds they would likely have never heard before and will find a moment of peace.
This is a part of the emotional literacy and mindfulness academy for kids programs to help bring kids into a practice of meditation with the fun of sound and take time out to unplug. Kids of all ages are welcome, whilst some children may find it hard to sit still, over time they will learn through regular exposure the benefits of this deep work.
The science of sound explores the healing power of sound-scaping utlizing frequencies from the Solfeggio Scale. The Solfeggio frequencies make up the ancient 6-tone scale thought to have been used in sacred music, including the Gregorian Chants. The chants and their special tones were believed to impart spiritual blessings when sung in harmony and deep meditative states. Each Solfeggio tone is comprised of a frequency required to balance your energy and keep your body, mind and spirit in perfect harmony.
When we look at the spoken mantras; these are words that bring people into a state of deep meditation. This sound is a meditation with notes but layering it with melody and music to create an atmosphere that become transformative within our state of consciousness. Each section of this workshop is developed in harmony with the earth’s elements and the chakras of ancient traditions, taking your kids on a sensory journey of the soul.
She uses this technology utilizing the elements of, sound layers frequency and vocal latticing in her live sound alchemy sessions. Having a fascination with the resonance of sound and consciousness, she shares her work with many children around the world and the results from her audiences are noted to be ‘transformative’.
PREPARATION: Explain to your kids that we are all going to a place where we can relax, it’s like a time of the day where they get to look after themselves, encouraging them to see it as a treat for the soul will assist in the preparation. You can explain that it is like sleeping but without falling completely asleep.
WHAT TO BRING: Please bring blankets, cushions, yoga mats and water, ask your children to please bring something positive that they would like to share with the group.
